Keeping business separate

One thing you should do in business is keeping business matters separate from personal ones.

This protects you from piercing of the corporate veil and is also good practice.

Before I created my LLC, I created a completely new Google account. Since it's going to be a separate entity, it's better to create a completely new email address. I chose Gmail because I use Google every day, and Google allows @gmail addresses to be used for business activity. I have only used the new email address for all purposes related to business to keep matters separate.

Before forming my LLC, I got a new phone number with a dedicated SIM card to be used solely for my LLC, and I've used that number at the bank and elsewhere.

I also created a new browser profile just for business activities - to avoid mixing things up.

In Google Chrome, you can simply create a new Chrome profile and websites you visit using that profile are contained within that profile only.

In Firefox (which I use), you can create a new profile using the Profile Manager. You can also set up a shortcut that opens a particular profile on Windows.

The next thing I'd recommend is to get a US VPN (ideally Wireguard-based). I use MEGA VPN and Wireproxy with Docker to create a socks5 proxy to US East servers and have configured proxy settings in Firefox.

Thus, whenever I use my custom browser profile by clicking the shortcut and visit sites - the sites think I am a visitor from the US.

Though not necessary, I like to do this because otherwise I often find myself being redirected to a geographical/regional website instead of the US-facing website.
